Picked up a UCF10
Just picked up a 1990 UCF10 last night...
Assuming it is blue metallic - two tone
Air Ride suspension
Car needs the typical from what I've researched
-Power Steering Pump (ordered)
-Belt (ordered)
Not common but the rear brake calipers I ordered as well.
Quarter panels have a bit of surface rust which isn't a big deal, it will get fixed.
Brakes are horrible, very scary to drive.
Other things to fix:
-Engine/Tranny Mounts
-Interior (carpet, seats)
-Suspension (convert to coilover system)
Trac light is on, button won't work properly.
Cruise Control doesn't work properly.
Rubber seals need to be fixed.
Valve cover gaskets, potentially seals as well.
It seems like a lot of work but to me it is typical maintenance for a 24 year old car.
Runs like a champ and I am happy to be a part of the community.
Any suggestions, ideas or tips is appreciated. Really excited to put in a lot of work to this car, first luxury RWD sedan. Exciting chassis!

Well...I hear whining noises, I put some ATF in the power steering reservoir and it started leaking from the bottom.
Came out like foamy pepto bismol lol
I'm assuming its the pump, could also be the high pressure return line but won't really know until I put it on a lift.

and don't assume the rack is leaking, even if it is covered in PS fluid, that is just migration from another leak site, I have yet to ever see an LS400 rack leak
but a PS leak will quickly kill your alternator, and remember that you need to use Dexron III type as the PS fluid

I believe we can use Dexron VI as well?
