What are the chances that Aisin FBT-001 cooling fan bracket could be OEM bracket?

yes, it is the same part, I answered this in your other thread, it is available from amazon for $95

 

Rockauto has them too - I'm usually very comfortable to order from Rockauto as I have bought a ton from them for my Corvettes. Aisin FBT-001 it is, then.

If that is Aisin == OEM, then it should be good.

Me in 2011, for my '91 LS400 with ~170k miles:
"I replaced my fan bracket last week (search for details) and had similar problems with the Dorman 300-804 fan bracket I bought.


(Great price there, BTW - $89 with free shipping; I paid $126 at local Kragen)

Differences I noticed between my original and the Dorman 300-804 are:
- Dorman was missing one tapped screw hole, but I did not notice missing that when it was reassembled. (it was not needed)
- The lug with the tapped hole coming in at around 7:00 in the picture (for the lower AC screw) was ~1/8" too long. Not too hard to jig-saw it off, and it worked fine after that, but I thought it was ridiculous that they could not copy the part accurately.
- The flange at around 4:00 in the picture was in the wrong place by about 1/4", making it impossible to seat the timing belt cover properly. After wrestling with it for a while and confirming the problem, I used a Dremel tool to cut down the t-belt cover to fit. Again, ridiculous that it was not an accurate copy."

I was in a bind at the time (I noticed this problem right before I was to leave on a 500 mile trip in the car, so needed to fix it ASAP with whatever I could get immediately). If you've got time, be careful on getting the right part. That Dorman 300-804 was supposed to be an exact copy, but apparently it was not.

 

Thanks for the heads-up. I ordered the Aisin today from Rockauto. We'll compare old and new part side by side just in case.
