My tilt steering was not working. Would make a buzzing sound but not move. Took bottom of steering column apart and found gear cover on left side. Took cover off, found plastic gear for tilt function. Gear had worn teeth on one side. Flipped gear over and fixed the issue!! No money, twenty minutes of time and I have Tilt steering. This is a 95 LS4. Seen pictures for different set ups so this may be specific to the 95 year.

i need to take mine apart. mine rubs making a fartign type sound as it retracts. if you hold the wheel up a littel bit it goes back smooth.

The Telescoping motor is toast on mine. Been needing to take it apart and see if i can replace the internal brushes. Planning to do that and put up the instructions on how to do so!

I fixed mine with a zip tie, and others on the board have used washers from a garden hose to alleviate their issues.
