Undercoating with aftermarket suspension?
I would like to undercoat my LS, it has battle end links (heim joints), aftermarket sleeve type air bags.
Would like it rust proofed (using corrosion free-similar to krown). Think that stuff is ok to get on the heim joints? should I tell them to avoid spraying the struts?

Yes, you need to wrap and mask that stuff off.... From tip to tail.
You can also find special boots designed for rod-ends like these:

Because nothing will kill a hiemjoint faster than a winter of salt, sand and freezing temps!

thopse are cool BUT.. just how water tight are they? wouldnt it be worse if some salty water got in there and just sat in the boot?
However wouldnt some rust proof stuff be ok on the bags and thread strut shafts? if anythign it will keep salt from depositing on them.

Yeah, you pack the boots full of grease that is safe for the joints your are using and then you won't have an issue with rust as loon as you keep the boots full of grease.
as far as the threads, I have had customers in your neck of the woods use Marine Grade Anti-sieze on the threads and then wrapped them with a couple layers of masking or duct tape. I have seen guys use custom Neoprene sleeves over critical parts as well as coilovers like this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2330815 and it works exceptionally well!

just discovered these.

Maybe packing the boot full of grease isnt the best idea, because although it will repel water it will eat up any dirt that gets trapped in there. Perhaps im worrying too much-a regular ball joints rubber boot seems pretty good.
however these might be a little better.?
Along with the coilover sleeves-those look good!

Why not coat them? Those rustproofing places do cars with OE airride all the time, and similar suspension components. A lot of stuff is exposed on heavy duty trucks and they last... even longer if rustproofed.
If it were me i'd do it all, and not worry about it.
If anything, get a rattle can of the rustproof stuff, so if you're feeling adventurous during the winter, you can always touch it up yourself!
