Compared to Red China.
Taiwan is a favoured , democratic trading partner producing many fine products at a good price.
The women in Kaohsiung are hot too.

I've read so much bad press on aftermarket UCA in this forum that it's kind of refreshing to hear some good news about the less expensive options. I know my drivers upper ball joint is bad since it kept spinning when re-installing my springs and shocks so I'm putting this on the list when it gets warmer and I replace my front seals which are leaking.

don't quote this yet, I am still working on my ordering of countries as far as precision and reliability, and this has no correlation to how well I like the people of each country, that would be a very different list!

Taiwanese parts are only marginally if at all better than Chinese made parts. realistically there is little difference. The perception of the difference is what people associate it with.

Made in:
China = Communist = Bad for the world = Crappy parts
Taiwan = Democratic = good for the world = good parts
USA = Democratic = BEST Ifor the world = Best parts.... Cause 'Murica!!

Realistically, it's all the same or similar stuff, certain brands or companies have just given a bad rap to everything. MANY Taiwanese companies manufacture in China and assemble in Taiwan, just like many US companies source materials from all over the world and put stuff together here and sell it as "Made in USA."

The fact that just about everyone reading this right now has a reliable mostly or almost completely, Chinese built and sourced product in your pocket suggest that Chinese parts are not crap. If you are wondering, typically about 50-90% of your cell phone is made in or sourced from parts/materials China.

Assuming quality based of location of manufacture is as accurate as assumptions/stereotypes of people by race or location.

I ordered all control arms for the rear end (upper, lower, toe arm, traction arm, both sides) and new bolts etc for the control arms for my -90 LS last November. And while they took their time to gather those parts, about 4 weeks, I was very happy when i got the parts. They all seemed to be genuine OEM parts as far as I could tell, and I saved about 300-500 Euros (after taxes & customs duties) compared to local dealership prices.
