Default Oil filter magnets

OK guys I put my helmet on so you can start shelling any time...............What do you think about the addition of magnets to the oil filter or using a drain bolt with a magnetic insert?

Seems like it's probably a waste to me. I have a chevy with a small block with over 200,000 miles. Runs fine with regular oil changes. My 92 LS is just fine as well with 300,000 miles on it. Never even had the thought of putting magnets in the oil filter or the plug cross my mind.

the thing is, most of your engine is aluminum, not iron, and I cannot imagine any iron filings that could make it through a modern oil filter!

if you can invent an aluminum magnet, put me down for a case of em!
