Why no mods for our cars?
It has been said many times and I'm completely agree with it... Lexus/Toyota have the strongest blocks ever made by a company. An excellent exampled would be the Supra TT. They can handle almost anything.... a huge single turbo with a lot of boost to get specific!
Why haven't companies looked at this and expanded their ideas for toyota blocks???
the only car that has a chance in the aftermarket world would be the IS300 which borrowed its engine from the sc and gs 300s as well as the naturally aspirated supras.

Why?
There was no demand at the moment. R&D for mods required capital and manufactures expected good financial return. An example is the Integra-RSX/Civic platform. It took them 15+ years to get to where we are today. In general, very few people bought our cars (LS) to be used as souped up vehicles. As good the platform as the Supra, it was way too heavy and luxury oriented...
