the A341E you have will work fine, except for the ECU, which controls the transmission in the LS400, it is gonna be a bit confused, I am afraid, also I suspect the shift solenoids would be a bit different, though very similar, but you have a decent shot they are identical.

what year is the MX83? - do you know the history of this particular tranny, is it in good shape? - the filter screen will tell you a lot.

I think if the main electrical connector is the same (likely), you have a decent shot, if the output shaft is the same - the speed sensor is the only other potential issue I see. - The ECU won't like it at first, but it will learn and eventually be happy.

its a rebuilt transmission with less than 1000 miles on it. and it is also from ether a 89 or 90 cressida.

● check the physical compatibility of the main electrical connector

● check the size of the output shaft

● compare the Toyota part numbers of the solenoids between those years of Cressida and your year of LS400 - you can do this online at www.toyotapartszone.com and at lexus.sewellparts.com

● disconnect negative battery cable for a few hours to fully reset ECU

then I think you have a pretty good shot if the above items check out, because you will really just be down to the speed sensor as about the last potential "gotcha"
