Seems like we all have the same problems
Problems/Fixes for my '92 LS400:
1 - New air conditioner.
2 - Power steering is comes and goes. Got the power steering flushed and filled... helped problem a lot but didn't fix it.
3 - Dimming lights... (had left car emergency lights on for 10 minutes and battery was dead).
4 - Reduction in a lot of power to the wheels.
5 - Haven't heard this from anyone but, sometimes I like to floor my car and the traction control problem light turns on and then with a check engine light with it.
6 - Last and most recent concern. A burning smell was coming from the vents. Took it to mechanic and said the pulley needs a replacement and is replacing that along with a tune-up. Unfortunately, its my dad who took my car to the mechanic while I am away from home and I hope he doesn't get ripped off.
From previous threads I have made an assumption that the power steering has something to do with the alternator... possibly the power steering fluid leaking onto the alternator.
