Ok another update here. Just had New Toyota Strut bushing put in and my buddy gave me a free alignment. also had the broken egr pipe replaced. You can't even hear the engine run now at idle. Also had the cheap Primewell tires returned to Firestone and replaced them with Bridgestone turanza Serenety plus which was recommended by several people on here. So far i love is. Is feels so much more positive to drive! I haven't hit the interstate yet but i can already tell a difference. Firestone did not Road Force Balance the tires but they said they had a Road Force Balancer and said if i had any issues they Would Road Force Balance them free of charge. So when i get off work i will be hitting the interstate and seeing how she acts.

i agree with the firestone but they are walking distance from my office..lol i am happy to announce all noise is gone and 99.9 percent of vibration is gone. wandering is alot better and it does feel alot more stable at highway speeds although its not what i consider perfect but its 3000% better. also after replacing the egr pipe it is so quiet inside. it wasnt that loud but its still amazing to me how quiet it rides. i did get a service engine code on the way home. i believe it was p4041? egr insufficant flow. I cleared the code on the side of the road and kept driving another 15 miles or so. The computer is not use to the pipe being hooked up so i am assuming it will have to relearn the egr system. It might take a battery reset but i will wait and see what happens. Those Serinity Plus tires are very nice! I just wish i knew what fixed what with all i had replaced and fixed at once

the tires will be even far more nice after a road force balance - provided those goobers at firestone know how to operate the machine, which I have my doubts about

Just takes one, maybe two bad experiences to realize there are places you need to stay away from. Firestone is on my list as well. Finding honest, competent, mechanical help can be a hard road.

Well i am a ASE certified mechanic myself. i use to do 99.9% of all my mechanic work but now i down have the equipment anymore nor the time. I never have been a big fan of firestone but anyway. I also had the check engine light come back on on the way to work this morning. im sure its the egr flow code. will have to check it though

did you disconnect the negative battery cable for an hour or so to fully clear the ECU of codes?
if the code keeps coming back, I believe I would get a strong light and make sure your mechanics didn't crimp the lower EGR pipe getting it in there, especially in the curved crinkled portion (where it fails in the first place)

i am about to disconnect the batt cable now and its hard to get under there but i thought mabye they accidently left something unplugged. I am trying to figure what sensor would have the reading for that code to trip.

do you not have the factory service manual, the parts locator for the EGR system is on page SF-70
the only sensor that could really bring up that code is the EGR gas temperature sensor, which is on a small pigtail near the EGR valve
