Thanks DJ. I will most likely just go with the grant adapter to go with the wheel. Not to mention they are pretty cheap.

I believe I have to use the one for the celica/supra's? Can anybody confirm that? They don't have anything for lexus LS's or SC's

My best bet is to check on NRGs website and check the part number I gave you to what models the NRG hub is adaptable to. And then compare which of those same models of toyotas fit for Grants adapters! My adapter was compatible with MANY different toyota amd scion models... I'm assuming toyota didnt change the thread/star spindle size of their steering rods for most auto companies and car models under their name.

Thanks again DJ! I checked the part number. Then went out in the garage and looked at the wheel. Then my brain started working and realized that I still had the adapter on the wheel from my old project. Which just so happens to have been an 87 toyota pick-up. And thats on the NRG list under the same part number you gave me!

Lol, I guess I'll be throwing this thing on in the morning. I'll take some pics and post them tomorrow.

Ok, I got out there this morning and installed the grant wheel. It turned out pretty nice, but I need to buy the spacer for it. It's a little too close to the turn signals/wipers. Here's a couple pics.

Glad to hear that hub you had worked out after all! Looks good, I still don't know how I feel about the all black interior, have you thought of doing blackwood vinyl wrapped interior???

Thanks. I would like to stay away from the wood. I have thought about getting some of that carbon wrap, the kind that has a texture to it. I think that would look pretty cool with the dark interior. Not everywhere, but just some on the trim to break up the black.

Just for the record. My interior is not black, it's a very dark brown color. I've never seen another one like it, and I don't know the name of the color.

Ive done a few CF wraps in different colors with 3D or textured vinyl and it always turns out very nice. Just make sure that surface under it is sanded down if its not smooth and cleaned up it wont have a nice flat finish. I will always suggest to use bubble-free vinyl to not have to worry about those pesky bubbles.

Are you planning on connecting the horns? I did a quick release on my Type R and wired the horn straight through ground, but I am quite unsure of what cables to connect to install another spring loaded push button for the horn on the side of the steering column. Has anyone else done this for a quick release set up to keep the horn?

As of right now, they are not hooked up. But I do plan to hook them up. I'm not sure about the Q/R setup. The horn is run threw that one connector with the cruise control, right? I figured I could just test each pinout with the key "off" until the horn goes off? Then when I figure it out, just hook it up to the new button.

I might not be making sense, but I think I know what I'm saying.....

Yes I know exactly what you mean. On the how to I put up tommorow I will show you which is the pin that connects to the horn. Its only one of the pins at the very end. Remember that the horn is pretty much a switch and there's no pos/neg. Just the ground that is bypassed by the horn, or in my case... a spring loaded switch.

Thats what I thought it was..... Basicly when you hit the horn you are just connecting the ground and completing the circuit. I just wasn't sure which one it was. I didn't have time to play with it. I ordered the spacer for mine, should be here tomorrow. I might play with the cruise control when I hook the horn up, and see if I can come up with some solution for that also.

My wheel is so close to the turn signals, that everytime I turn the wheel my knuckles hit it and turn the signals on! lmao. The spacer is two inches, so that should be just right I think.
