Default Buying New Rims. Need Help With Specs

Hey guys,

Thought ya'll can help me out here. So I'm trying to get some aftermarket rims for my 91 LS400 but I'm running into some issues with the width size and the center bore which I wanna get clarified if possible. I tried to do some searches but my skills aren't the best.

My questions are:

1. What width size rims should I keep between so as to not buy something incompatible? 7.5? Can I get 8.5" for front and back considering the stock brake sizes? Should front and back size be different?

2. Center bore size issue. I see the LS400 has a 60.1 Center Bore. Most aftermarket rims I see have somewhere around 70 to 73.1 Center Bore. Can I buy rims with 70 or 73 CB and fit them? Or do I need other parts to fit them? Just trying to see which is lesser of a hassle.

Appreciate the clarification. Thanks!

Found these two rims so far:

1. http://www.ebay.com/itm/390552410298

2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261059707360

I was able to photoshop the look of the second rims on my 91 LS400. Looks good. These set are 18x8.5 which I believe should fit both front and rear.

Next question is what are good size tires for a 18x8.5 wheels without rubbing? Any recommendation?

Well it might look awful to you, but I like em. I already bought them. Just found some 245/40/18 tires. I believe they'll fit considering the +40 offset and 8.5 wide? Anyone knows?

245/40/18 should fit without problems at stock height. only when you lower the car is where you will run into scrubbing and clearance issues. your picture shows a lowered car.

as for the CB, you can install a hubcentric ring to bring the bore to the factory size to fit better.

Thanks for the clarifications. Appreciate it. Actually my car is stock height. That was a picture of another LS I found and put the images of the rims on it. Yeah I msged the seller of the rims and asked about the CB. They said they will include the hubcentric rings from 73.1 to 60.1. So I think I should be good to go. Again, thanks a bunch!
