Rear-end Muffler delete project.
Today I have deleted the rear mufflers. I've welded 2 stainless steel 304 pipes to it. The end's i cut in 45 degree.
Very happy with it, looks good and not overdone. The sound is also not extreme, next thing is to modify the airbox as in one of the topic in this forum.
Starting
Polish
Delete and cut mufflers
Welding first pipe
Tips, polished and cut in 45 degree
Result
Have a nice weekend !

A drone is when it reverberates inside the car at a certain frequency (rpm) it can be very annoying especially if it drones at your cruising rpm on a long trip. Typically it will drone below 2000 rpm but it can have a second resonance. Mine did it at 1400 rpm (first resonance) and at 2000 (rpm (second resonance). But I only did the muffler delete to my GS400. If the resonance does not bother you then don't worry about it because the holtz will add a little weight
I did leave the factory resonators on so it's not as loud as yours
Here is a link to what I did

On the highway here in NL you dont even hear the pipes. But we drive at 130km/h legally over here. Most off the time i drive 110km/h just to safe some fuel LOL, then they are still very quiet. At low speed you could call it a drone, but not really annoying. For me it even could be more louder. Funny to see people turning their heads, because here in NL they are not used to hear a V8 engine, especially not in a sedan.
My car also still has the original resonators, i only cut the mufflers.

Same as its done in the us...
hammer down.
I live in rural virginia. And I leave for work at 5.45 am. My challege? More like my daily commute.
The challenge is succesfuly aiming the camera...
Arent you in atlanta? I-20 speed limit is 65mph ad 70mph in some places I thought.
And everybody goes way over once you get out of the city. 130kmh=80mph. you should have no problem seeing that...
