Default Function Button on steering wheel

Would anyone know why the function button on the steering wheel is not working? Its just that one button the mode and reset work great its just the "function" on that does not

The function button returns the display to its normal state after a warning message is displayed. It is explained in the owners manual.

That sure is one filthy looking steering wheel. You got rats living in your car?
