so 92 ls400 55k miles. so the first start of the day, i get that zoooom sound, i.e. sounds like starter. after that, all the starts are normal. the other thing is, i have a knocking sound.

after reading a few posts about the starter, no thanks. i'll pay to have that done. anyone know how much? i can not believe where the starter is located.

after reading post on the knock sensor, for the knocking sound, that also sounds involved. understand wire harness should be replaced, if i do the knock sensors.

should this be happening at 55k miles? granted the car sat for awhile and/or didn't get driven very much.

this car seems to be worst than my mercedes 560 sec

 

take it to a shop and let them diagnose it.
