Has anyone replaced the turn signal/headlamp combo switch?
I am looking to replace the combo switch that controls the turn signals and headlamps. My auto lamps aren't working and the end of that switch that controls headlamp functions is extremely loose, so I am going to replace it. Has anyone done this? I know there are three screws for the cover, I'm hoping I can just remove those three screws and it will become more apparent as to what I need to do, hoping that I don't have to remove the steering mechanism.
The car is a 2000 LS400.
Thanks

It's fairly easy, remove the top and bottom covers, press the clip and pull off the multi way white connector, remove the 2 brass colored screws and then slide the arm off the mounting.

Thanks a lot, and thanks for the pics they were extremely helpful. Just installed the new switch, on my 2000 I also had to remove the wheel tilt lever to get the switch to slide out, but once I did it was easy as pie, the hardest part really was just getting the plastic clam shell covers back on; not bad. Now I'm just crossing my fingers that it was indeed the problem, hope it's not the little sensors or something else, but as of right now the switch functions fine with the brights, fogs, turn signals, and all other functions. Didn't have time to test it out, really just had it slap it back together and go, but I will know by tonight.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Update:
The switch didn't fix the problem. Everything else is still working fine, and I am able to manually switch on the headlamps as before, but the auto function still won't work. Do you guys think it's the light sensor up on the dash below the windshield? I see two of them, one on the driver's side which is clear-ish and the dark colored one on the passenger side, is it the driver's side one? Also, has anyone gone about removing these before? They look awfully crammed in below the windshield.
Thanks
