Exclamation '00 Lexus owner, need a help in a few issues

Hi everyone,

I bought a '00 LS400 with 123k miles on the meter and i got a few queries.
Firstly, it had an accident and i replaced both the passenger and the driver airbag but still the airbag light is always on, any remedy to switch it off? seat belt tensioners had locked up but i got them removed so now the seat belts work fine.

There is too much wind noise from the sunroof when cruising at 80mph, how to fix that?

Finally, the day-time running lights always on, how to switch them off w/o loosing my headlamp flash bulb?

thanks for clarifying.

1: I believe you need to reset the airbag ECU. Honestly, I do not know what the procedure for that is on our model years. Might be easiest to have a dealer do it.

2: Check for missing components, molding, etc. I have no wind noise from the sunroof so yours must be leaking air in somewhere.

3: You cannot turn off the DRL's unless you find the relay / module and disable it manually.

Ask someone who re-biulds cars from salvage. I think you have to get the airbag module cleared or get a used one (whichever is cheaper). A dealer might charge $90 or more for re-flashing the ECU.

yeah i figured out that the airbag sensor which is located near the transmission has blown up and needs to be replaced.

sunroof air leak is still an issue and so are the DRL's
