Red face Always use loc tight

Today while driving to work I hear a noise that sounded like wind noise. While cruising I could hear it when stopped it stopped. Well I get to a stop light and notice I hear it while accelerating, dang it belt it noisy. I think to my self I can replace it tomorrow. Now I pull into my parking lot at work and make a sharp left I hear a clunk the steering dies. Dang it the belt broke was my first thought. So I immediately pull in across two spots across because the steering died. So I immediately turn the car off since the belt broke or so I thought. I get out and walk around the back yo find the belt. Guess what I don't find a belt, I found a pulley. Son of a gun now I have problems, so I pop the hood. It goes to the power steering pump. Upon investigation the nut fell off and presumably when the wife drove to the store. After I call and tell her what happened she says oh yeah I heard the belt squeal and forgot to tell you. Thankfully I was going 5 miles an hour so no damage, hooray. Now off to the dealer in the am to get a new nut and a belt. I have no one to blame except for myself by making sure it was super tight and not using loc tight

dont necessarily need loc tight xD! if the bolt was tighten correctly it shouldn't of fallen off. this is when an 3/8 impact ratchet or torque wrench comes into play.
