I like them compared top Stance as well.

But megan EZ come with rubber uppers, and neither the EZ or LP are known to have any issues with the lower locking rings. I've had perfectly acceptable ride quality with my Megans.

That being said, the megans will simply not get you as low as the BCR in the rear due to slight differences in the rear lower mount design. And they can't be ordered (afaik) with custom spring rates.

Would you say that the beefier shock bodies (but relatively similar piston diameter)really makes the BC Racing coilvoers worth the added cost over the Megans, given their reputation on the forum? If so, why?

do not get megan ez's if you're planning to slam your car cause it's not gonna happen unless you droop the rear springs. and even with the droop, your ride will be very soft because of the droop. im riding max stiff fronts and rears on my megan ez's and it's so soft that people sleep in my car.

The "soft ride" isn't because of the droop, rather it's because damping settings can't compensate for a relatively low spring rate. if you wanted it really stiff you'd need to bump up to a 20something front and high teens rear spring rate. (like 22/18 or similar)

megans are something like 12/8 from factory.

^nah trust me. before i even thought about drooping the rear springs, the ride was noticeably stiffer without messing with the springs. once hung, they rode soft and all bumps that i went through, my coilovers didn't absorb it. just goes through whatever i hit.

i tested this again when i had to get my exhaust redone, raised the car back up with no droop in the rear and it was alot stiffer than when i had it drooped.
