Default 98 ls400 (audio headunit question)

Just picked up a pioneer avic-f900bt and wanting to install on my 98 Lexus ls400. My stock head unit is just the premium sound not the nak, so was wondering if stock harness will hook right up to the double din head unit or will have to get harness adapter? Another thing is the double din seem to barely fit where the oem head unit goes, will I have to do any custom cutting just to get the double din in? Am a newbie on this and want to do it right the first time so if anyone can teach some knowledge they have I would greatly appreciate it! thanks in advance

lol not at all. you need to search, and use more descriptive thread titles.

dash kit: you need one, either Metra/scosche (doesnt match the dash, but decent fit, and cheap) or Beatsonic (perfect match and fit, but expensive).

harness: you need one, the only fully plug and play harness that retains the factory speakers/amp is the one made/sold by Beatsonic. But it's VERY expensive. search and see the FAQs for an alternative.

Thanks for the reply! Had to ask cause been going around shop locally and they all tell me something different. Some say it's not gotta fit a double din I'll have to trim it down a lil just to fit in which I do not want it to be trim down at all. As for the harness guess I'll have to by pass the stock amp and later just get an amp with some subs it's probably be cheaper that route
