Thumbs down fan bracket trouble

Can anybody tell me or help me... I have a 93 LS400, I posted a fan clutch problem thats not the issue.. why would it be thats easy to replace... So from what I understand I have to remove the radiator, and the harmonic balancer and bunch of other stuff? just to get at the fan bracket? for reals? any help out there? This seems like to much for myself to do...

http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/engine/timingbelt.html
follow up to step 20.

radiator is easy and the only difficult (somewhat) part is removing the crank pulley (harmonic balancer) because it is on there TIGHT and needs to get put back on TIGHT. a high quaity impact will hep.

that being said, look around, if there's no bolt or part of bracket behind the crank pulley you may not need to take it off.

It's not that difficult. Some stuff needs to be removed but not the crank pulley. Search Flickr for LS400 water pump, someone posted lots of pictures of the job. This is the page out of the FSM but may not be for your year. Mine is a 95 and it was a little different than the FSM. Did you remove the fan and determine that it is your bracket? Hope this helps.

The Cam pulleys and most of that other stuff related to the timing belt doesn't need to be removed, I just wanted to show you the bracket and the bolts/nuts that go with it.

Removing the pulley will make it easier to pull the part off, it pretty tight in that area. It is not ESSENTIAL to be removed, IIRC, but suggested if you are gonna follow thru and do the t-belt and water pump at the same time. Might as well since you would already havemost of the area broken apart.
