Default Speedo Needles

Anyone have extra burned out needles from your dash cluster. I've been talking with the guys in the SC forum and apparently there's someone charging $450 to repair the cluster needles. I'm very wary of this guy but I'd like to resolve this needle issue.

If anyone has a dead needle they could send me, I'll figure out a way to repair them and share the documentation of the process with all of you.

One important thing that needs to be addressed is the issue of calibration. Anyone know how to calibrate these gauges or where to get them calibrated without paying several hundred dollars? If I alter the needles, the weight may change and I assume this would change the reading from the gauge. Please, anyone with experience in gauges, enlighten me on the matter. Let's find an inexpensive solution for this plaguing problem.
