Default 99 LS400 ECT and Hight level boton problem

Hello C/L, on my LS neither ect nor the hight level botons are working. What I mean is when I turn them on I don't see them on the left side of my dash. Could it be a blown fuse?

I need help pls. How can I take apart the shift colomn without damaging the wood around it? Pls I can use some advise.

I doubt if two swtiches are going to go bad at the same time unless a lot of Coca-Cola is involved.

It's easy to pry out the console wood panel. It's held in place by (I think) six friction fittings.

Check the fuses first. The function of the fuses are described on the fuse covers and in the owners manual. If you don't have an owners manual, you can view it at https://secure.drivers.lexus.com
