Default LCD clock weird problem....needs advice

1st of all is the LCD clock (the digital one in air conditioning module) suppposed to be off when key is out?

Question is that when I remove the key from the ignition the clock is still running, does anyone know what the problem is? The only way to turn it off is to disconnect the battery.
I tried removing the fuse (7.5A panel one) but the clock is still on (it's running because I can adjust the time by pressing those little buttons) even when the key is out from the ignition.

shed some lights pls

Thanks in advance

Car is a 93 LS

The clock in my 92 LS400 stays on all the time, even when the key is out of the ignition.

thanks for your input.
but when i read the user manual it says the clock will indicate time when the key is on ACC / on position of the ignition.........if i interpret what it says correctly, it should mean the clock should be off when key is out, do you agree?

Thanks

first, why are you worried about the clock? are you having battery problems? your clock will not run your battery down.

my 99 stays on all the time, my 96 goes off when the door is opened, also my 99 headlights stay on for about a minute after parking (night) and my 96 will stay on (with key out) until I open the driver door... but neither pulls my battery down.
so some models are different..

well i was a bit concerned about the battery because my landcruiser's clock will go off once the key is out of the ignition.
i just recenly got my car and i m not familiar with it so i m still trying to learn all these little things.

To clarify what I said before, the clock itself stays on (black 7-segment numbers). The green backlight turns off when I take the key out.
