Will removing the resonator, two middle mufflers but retaining the two end mufflers get some good v8 sound happening without being too loud?
Also help keeping the stock look?

^couple of my buddies are running that same setup and it's pretty quiet imo. it's a slight drone and fades away quickly from what i've been told. now if you take the stock exhaust off, it'll sound LOUD.
i'm planning to redo my exhaust. going to delete all 3 resonators but leave the rear mufflers on.

the last two rear mufflers are still being the restrictors of the airflow that is coming out, therefore, your car won't have any type of increase in db sound other than the ignition start up.

2.25" tubing, x-pipe, pair of 11225s, tips. no resonators.

So by the looks of things sounds like Removing the resonator (middle muffler or whatever its name) will get some sound happening provided you do some rear muffler change.
