common causes for high idle 92 LS400
My tach doesn't work (dont worry we are addressing that in a the BIG cluster thread), but my idle speed feels high and I get harsh gear engagement.
Engine runs beautifully with around 150k miles on it.
Obviously I am going to check the IAC for cloggage.
Any other suggestions?

IACV is the most common cause, you can get a used Idle Air Control Valve on ebay for $50 - $75 or it could be something as simple as a vacuum leak or the Engine Control Temp Sensor
my IACV was not clogged, it was stuck, and no amount of cleaning or soaking in solvent was able to unstick it
