Default 1995 LS400, New Member w/ Pics

Hey guys figured id post up some pics of my 95 ls400. Unfortunately, i was fired 2 days after i bought it for filing a workers comp claim, and will be selling it soon. However, i cant post in the classifieds yet, so i will post some pics and info up here for people to check out. When i have the required posts i will list it officially there.

Car is a beauty. It was my first Lexus (owned a 96 impala before) and must say wow! Total luxury AND power. Love this car. So, lemme know whatcha think maybe? Thanks guys.

Also, anyone have a ballpark figure for the relative worth of the vehicle with all the new parts? Car has 139,xxx miles. Carfax has other cars rated 15-36, this scored a 68, record is perfect. Also will come with a really good service contract with 19-20 months currently left on it. Only flaw is a very shallow scratch from some a****** that can probably be buffed out. About a 2 inch scratch on leather in rear right seat, very unoticeable though.

Drifter, i appreciate it. I am NOT selling the car until i get my posts. I figured what better way to get my posts than to put some pics up and get some conversation going. And see what the experts say about how to price. Thanks again.

I would think if you get fired for filing a workers comp claim you can buy a new Lexus. Of course, that will be in 10 years after it finally gets through the courts and all...

Nice looking car. Air fresheners in the vents scream "smoker's car" to me.

What new parts? Maybe I can't read.

Good luck with you sale. I'm a cheap bastard - that's a $3k car.

you can read fine. i just forgot to include them. I have had a new power steering rack and pionion installed, all new brake lines and fittings, new alternator and battery, as well as the rims. And no, i cant smoke i have asthma, i just like to keep it smelling nice.

and i am currently in a lawsuit with the company, part of the reason i need the cash. that $3000 retainer wasnt too friendly, especially with limited income from unemployment. but youre right. i probably sent the idiot case worker the same paperwork 10 times only for him to lose it. Probably just gonna sell this and do some work on my 96 impala.

I love Lord Vader's car! I had 2 95 Roadmasters - a woodless wagon and a 4-door. I miss the LT1. I really mis the wagon. Except the 12-13 MPG commuting. They had less legroom than any Honda I've ever had, though. Crazy.

Shopping for an LS now. I can't believe how inexpensive the 1st and 2nd gens are.

Good luck with everything. Lawsuits suck.

Wow, you must have gotten ****ed last night.

creSSwell; Welcome to CL. Sorry to hear about your job, especially just after you got the LS. I bought mine to be used for work two years ago and got laid-off three days later and haven't worked since. I know how bad it sucks for you. But at least you have the unemployment, my 99 weeks ran out last month and can't find anything now. Good luck with everything related to your workman comp case. Keep the LS clean and maintained and you'll stay happy with it. The main thing to think about would be the timing belt/ water pump. Do you have service records on when/if it was changed? Seeing how it has a new alternator you should make sure the power steering pump isn't leaking also. They usually leak onto the alternator which is what kills them. You don't need it doing it again. Use the search feature and check out the newbie thread and you'll get so much info that you can use. Good luck with the new ride.
