The cluster that has the mileage and all went bad and it was confirmed. If I get a used one from a junk yard will I have different mileage or will it still reflect the same mileage since it's electronic and controlled by a computer? Any idea how much a used one can run for?

Looking at that auction site, I see 150-$200. The data is stored in memory in the cluster itself. You will want to make note of this with DMV if there are significant OD differences and how it is handled for future transfers as well as insurance.

you can get a used cluster if the main board on yours is still ok and put it in the new/used one then you will still have same millage. OR you can send yours away to places that rebuild them. you can drive without the cluster if you need too. most have about a 3 day turn around.

so you do have options.
