Got the Car back in march, been in love from then on.
Odometer says 137,xxx miles and that may be incorrect due to the failing cluster
gauges. Took the cluster out a few minutes ago to have it sent for repair.
No major problems with the car, a few minor things though.
1. A clicking noise, from the motor if i press the gas it goes faster.
(it isn't a loud click and the guy from Express said it sounds like a pulley going bad?)
2. It isn't as quiet as other LS's I have encountered. (Fan maybe?)
3. Not sure if the timing belt 90,000 mile service was done so should i?
4.When I turn on the headlights, the climate control and Radio goes black.
And lastly gear shifter doesn't light up!

valve tick for the clicking noise more than likely yes fans probably if it roars and timing belt take off the cover and see if its cracking. number 4 have you checked to see if the dimmers switch is all the way to the right instead of all the way to the left

valve train tick sounds like....at idle.........tick,tick,tick,tick,tick....very consistant, very distinct sound. the ticking would change with rpm....meaning faster with more rpm, slower as rpm comes down.
the fan clutch is the round finned thing your fan blade is attached to. when fully engaged, it makes your fan sound like.it belongs on a mack truck.
if you have valvetrain tick, you could also check the oil level. sometimes very inferior oil will break down to the consistancy of water. it can cause ticking, it could cause oil pressure switches to light up saying there is no oil pressure.
if you could somehow upload a sound clip or post a youtube vid....it might helps us, help you better.

a/c is turned on.....and once the car is started it sounds fine except that the fan clutch is engaged.
were you driving it just before you shot the vid?
and I dont hear any ticking....im going to watch the vid for the 5th time, and ill report back

your a/c fan is on high speed cuz your a/c button is on....and your fan clutch is fully engaged.
I hear no ticking. if you had valvetrain tick....it would be as loud as your ...all the fans going.
if you had rod knock...dude, you would know it.
a fan clutch doesnt tick, cough, weeze, squeek, chirp..nothing.....its either on or off. you know whats going on by the way it sounds....truck..on....no truck...off

I would vnture to say yes....only because....the company I work for uses shell. we just recently went to a synthetic blend.....and it has caused no problems what so ever.
ill make a deal with you, find a place that uses shell oil 10/30 syn blend for under...well lets see...uh..tapping fingers...thinking...uh...say 30 bucks or less.....if it doesnt fix the 1 second tick I hear....i will personally refund your oil change money.
and I will need a reciept for that. fax or text.
you could have a bad oil pump....bit I stand by what I say.....oil change,after 3 starts...if you have a tick...ill pay you back.........no lie
