so i read thru most of the "cluster repair 1000?!..etc." and read of people fixing it themselves but no write-up?

is there a write-up with pics somewhere or can someone make one?

i got a 93 ls 400, and my cluster had been flickering for a while/sometimes works, and now its completely blacked out. rpm meter, speedometer, and engine temp meter still work. backlights just out. gas guage doesn't appear to work unless its lit up. needles will light up for a second when i turn the car on.

ive found the places that fix them like everyone else says (dna speedometer, bba, jim walker, mrwhizard) but due to time constraints i need a car to get to and from school mon-thurs. and the likeliness of getting it there and back over the weekend seems impossible


so if anyone has a link to a DIY fix that'd be awesome.

 

there are a couple posts on which capacitor to change, what ohm ratings they are and etc. my post in there included.
