I enjoy looking at them and remember my days of seeing how low we could get the backend, and then the front ends, and now it is the entire body...... so go for it,
and some day when I am gone, you will have two more stocker LS400's to operate on......
Someone explain the point of lowering these cars so much? I like them just not with how retarded the wheels look..
If you are going to post on a thread entitled "The Slammed Thread" you should expect to see lowered vehicles to the full extend of the word. The point to lower the car is to make it look more aesthetically pleasing. Minimal wheel gap is the goal, and in some cases even tucking the rim inside of the fender. You may be wondering the reasoning behind it even. Well, there is no real reason which may be hard for you to comprehend, its a matter of style. You can't explain style. For you to come in and describe the style as "retarted" just makes you seem rather, uhm, n00b-like.
The "retarted" look you may be referring to is called negative camber. To run a wide wheel with low offset one must align the car to have enough negative camber / \ (When the wheels look like that) to ensure that the wheel and tire do not make contact with the fender and cause damage to them. Before you go and call things "retarted" use the search button perhaps, or don't describe things with the vocabulary of a middle schooler.
Man some sweet rides. Lots of respect for for the love shown to these fine automobils. Question: has any one tried mini tubs? I can under stand the use of camber, wheel offset and stretch or roll(or both) to achieve the desired effect. It just looks like the axles are brokin. Not ment to offend, just wondering if it had been tried.
maybe I am the old fogy here, but in regards to extreme negative camber, I hereby cast a second vote for "retarded" - lmao
quit messing up the world's finest luxury car, get an old '73 Impala and turn IT into a hoopty - no one will care that you have screwed it up, heck, make it hop, for that matter!
