I almost had learned the hard way when I had went to auto parts store for transmission fluid instead of the dealership. Well let me tell you it was a big difference, as soon as I started to drive the car, the transmission was vibrating. I quickly drove to the dealership the next day to have all that cheap stuff taken out and had the Toyota transmission fluid pour in. The transmission has been doing very well sense then despite my miles 250k+. So I encourage you to buy nothing but what is recommended. It will be worth it in the end.
I believe a friend of mine did the same save to on money due to cost of school/ living and he ended up killing his transmission and had to have another one placed in but that was back when I and him both had Acura Legend's and I had a spare transmission to give to him.
My 91 Ls 400 is having some problems in the rear were when I go over a pot hole or a sewer cap my whole back rocks from side to side or something the dealership said I need a rear spindle but I don't know if that has anything to do with it rocking from side to side like that ...please help
