just got done doing one side of the car. going to wait till night to take some more pics and see the difference and finish tomorrow. it is the 3000k color and it kinda looks a lil green but i think it will look good when both are done.

 

looks pretty green when first turnned on but yellows out after about a min or so.

 

Personally, sorry but I don't like it. But hey, it's your car. I guess it would just be for looks b/c they wont be good for the fog, way too bright.

 

Ugh glare. Did you put an HID kit into a halogen housing with fluted lense? Very ill advised.

 

there isnt too much fog in florida fortunantly. so it is mostly just for looks. but i do not know what your talking about with halogen housing and fluted lense. and why is it very ill advised?? its the stock foglight housing and the h3c hid conversion kit.

 

did u leave the yellow capsule in there? i removed mine and noticed it was kinda green also.

 

yea i did. i wasn't sure if i should have left it. it is glass and didnt see a way to remove it without breaking it while keeping the holder for the bulb.

 

They are ill advised/illegal due to the way the light distribution is on a halogen designed fluted lens with HID bulbs. Your vehicle code will state that the headlights cannot cause glare for oncoming drivers. HID in these reflector lenses glare. Many attempt to reduce this by aiming them down but by doing this it negates the attributes one wants with HID lighting.

Since you have them, please do your fellow motorists a favor by aiming them as best you can.

 

its a fog light, needs to be aimed low anyways

 

yea u could remove the capsule, 2 screws and it comes out.

had a state trooper pull me over cause my fog lights were aimed a little high. had to run no hid fogs that night home..oops.

Halogen light housings are designed differently than HID light housings because the dispersion of light characteristics are different, throwing an HID kit into a halogen housing, esp one with fluted lense (ie stock fog light housings) sends light into very undesirable places (ie not the road where you want it) and the resulting glare and brightened scattering is distracting if not dangerous to oncoming drivers and those in front of you, kinda like driving around with your high beams on.

 

ohh ok. gotcha. aim fog lights down, check. i really hate it when people blind me with their hid's coming the opposite way too. i rarely use my fog lights anyways. mostly just on real dark roads. and if i unscrew the 2 screws there wont be anything to hold the new bulb in place. the yellow glass peice is held in there by divets in the metal housing and i am like 95% sure i will break the glass trying to remove them.

 

I <3 my hids, when aimed properly they look sick.
