Default driver window wont work

the window wont unroll but the motor is fine. Before this it would work most of the time but at odd times it wouldnt work. If i hit the window a few times or turn off the vehicle closing the door firmly and coming back after work or where ever it usually worked. Now the window has been like this for two days??? Wiring issue perhaps?

You say the motor is good, do you hear it working? If so, then it wouldn't be a wiring issue. It might have come off track on the regulator, or it also could be a stripped gear in the motor. I'm not 100% on how the setup is on these windows but you should take the panel off and take a look.

the motor does not spin but I know its nots seized is what I meant. the windows now works again after two days, 92 ls400 205 000 miles. its just really annoying and I would like to fix it for good. could the contacts be dirty, as mentioned in a previous post pertaining to the door locks?

I thought you meant you hear the motor turning but the window doesn't go up. So, what you're saying is nothing happens some times when you hit the switch, no noise or anything? If that's the case then yes the contacts could be dirty or maybe the switch is starting to go bad. Pull the switch and see. Use the tutorial on lexls.com for the door panel to see where to lift the switch so you don't break it.
