'93 LS400 Code 25
Recently a local mechanic used a general diagnostic on our '93 and code 25 came up. Since he used a general approach, we took it to a Toyota dealer to have a specific diagnostic ran...turns out its the oxygen sensors. Toyota will replace both for about $830, the general mechanic will do it for $500. I can purchase the sensors from NAPA for about $200 total. Are these easy to install? This is my wife's vehicle and I have only worked on custom Dodge and Chevy trucks previously.
Thanks

What would they charge for the back 2 seeing how the carpet needs to come up to get the wires? I really think it would be worth it for you to change them out seeing how you can twist a wrench.

if you buy the direct bolt in where you dont have to do any soldiering, then id say its about a 20min job for the front 2, and maybe a half hour-45min for the rear 2. do it yourself. buy a wrench the size needed. 7/8ths is the size, or just buy a o2 sensor socket.

Thanks so much for the great advice folks! Bought the Denso sensors from NAPA for about $92 each; looking to install this week. Was presently surprised that NAPA had them for so much less than Adnance or AutoZone
