I just wanted to give you my experience with having an intake on a 1st gen LS. I installed the Intake adapter, fitted the new filter (k&n cone style) and re-set the computer. Immeditely I noticed the LS to be very sluggish off the line. It almost felt like my tranny was slipping (I think it was).

Honestly I would stick with the factory set-up. Buy a K&N drop in for the LS. It practically has ram-air from the factory. Read the review on the LS at Autospeed.com at WOT there is virtually NO wind resistance at the mouth of the intake under the hood.

Anyways, I set Everything back to stock. It feels like a new car. Im not trying to scare you, Just be careful sucking all of that Hot air from your engine bay. It really messed with the performance of my LS.
