Default 1994 vs 1991 cluster

So the needles on my 94 gauge cluster are all broken. Plus the p/o messed with the tach and speedo and broke the actual gauges, not just the needles. My dad thought it would be a good christmas gift to get me a new cluster. He just didn't know the difference between all of the years.

He bought one out of a 91. so no good and we can't return it. besides the fact that the odometer and all is different can i use the tach and speedo. the needles and gauges look exactly the same in the two. I just haven't been able to take mine out to compare the plugs and all. But if I took the tach and speedo out of the 91 cluster, would they work in the 94 cluster? look the same to me.

Thanks.

Hi,
As you have discovered the 2 clusters are different but I think the speedo, rev counter, temp and gas gauges are the same so you should be able to transplant these to your 1994 cluster.
The link below may help with doing he job.

Hey man. Be sure to take some pictures. That would be nice. I have thought of getting a 94 cluster and put it in my 91. But i dont know if it will fit. Plugs etc. But theres also outdoor temperature and the odo meter is integrated instead of being analog so i dont know if it wil cause too many problems trying to make it fit.

I took cupholder and sunscreens with light from a 93 LS and put it into mine, but there sure is ALOT of differences between a cupholder and a cluster

But maybe it could be done?

Yeah I'm not switching out the whole cluster. That wouldn't fit. I'm just taking the actual gauges (tach and speedo) and placing them in my current cluster.
