Default Xenon headlight HELP...

Hello,
i have put the HID headlights unit in my car for a little over a year now and it's been great. i'm very satisfied with those lights over the old halogen lights. until last week, they just quit working with no reason. when i turn the lights on, i still could hear the ballast starting up but none of the lights comes on. i had no clue what's wrong with it. i checked the bulbs, they are fine. does anybody have a suggestion?
also, as everybody knows that the housing for halogen when it is being used by the HID, it will make yellow glare. does anyone know how to get rid of the glare??

Thank you

The yellow glare also happens in the SC's projector headlights...it's the optics, unelss you change it, you won't be able to get rid of it. You can also get 6000K bulbs which will dramatically lessen that effect but you will looks about 20%-25% light output compared to the 4100K system.

What HID system do you have? A lot of cheap Taiwanese and Korean kits (no matter what they say on the box, Philips or otherwise) die after a short while...they're just not built to last.

If you have a good quality kit, you could have had a bad part which may be covered under warranty.

Otherwise, did you get any kind of moisture on the ballasts? How did you "check" the bulbs? Just visually or did you actualy try swapping it with the other side?

I believe it is the bulbs. Did one of your light died or both? If only one died, then replace it. Please post back, because I just got an Lexus HID and was just wondering.

Default HID

I was using Phillips before and it made yellow glare until it quitted working then I decided to change to Mculloch (not sure how to spell, don't have to box with me) HID. This new unit comes with the shield help preventing the yellow glare causes by H4 bulbs and housings. I will try to take picture and put them on here sometimes. Looks great!!!
