I got a 1995 Lexus LS400 98000 mileage on it ..
there has been a clunk sound whenever i hit the brakes or when i get over a bump and it's coming from the front passenger side .. long story short, I have identified what the problem was and it turned out that the ball joints need to be changed and the - it got different names- caster arm, radius arm, strut rods bushings are messed up too .. so til now i was only able to find the ball joints but not the strut rods bushings BECAUSE my lexus looks different .. that's what the mechanic told me .. anyways i have attached some pics of my lexus and i also did some search and would want to know if the bushings i found fit in there or not ... so sorry for my bad english i dont speak it lol ..
so 2 questions :
1) would the bushings i found fit in there ?
2)if not, can you guys help me in finding one?
3) and i am not sure how this plays out because it seems that the bushigns itself are attached to the whole bar .. so if i brought just the bushings would they weld it with bar ??

What you need is the LH/RH strut bar assemblies. You can purchase just the bushing for around $25 less each but then you'd have to have someone press in the new bushings. I'd vote for purchasing the complete strut bars that already have the new bushings installed in them. They're $114.17 each from Sewell Lexus. Part number for LH is 48670-40011... Part number from RH is 48660-40021... Here's a link to the site for the strut bars. You will also find your ball joints on their site...

Yes, those are also an option... Its very common for these needing to be replaced so they are most likely at least one of the causes of your problem...

probably the strut rod bushing.

you can buy the ADUS bushings you have listed, but be aware they are NOT RUBBER, they are a much stiffer/harder polyurethane bushing, and sometimes squeak when cold as well as give a slightly harder ride.

or you can buy a new pair of strut rod arms (lexus does NOT sell just the bushings) for ~$130/each side.

unless you've actually ordered and received the CORRECT part, i'd sustain from adding in.

i actually ordered that exact part number and received nothing more than the metal insert that goes inside the bushing.

How long ago was this if you don't mind my asking? My incident happened approx. A year ago, when we tried to reorder we were told the actual bushings were NLA.

I'll run the part number again, if its available bits a good alternative provided its a good bit cheaper than bthe whole bar assy.

shoud i go for the whole bar or just the bushings ?
i know i can do the bushings itself and that the mechanics would press them in ..but i was told that the bushings are not made of rubber which is different ? i guess ...

Call whichever dealer you are ordering from and confirm with them. I did it without problems.

Sometimes part numbers change. I had a question about replacing my odometer. Someone posted a picture of the box their odometer came in from Lexus. When I called my local Lexus dealer to order the odometer I read all of the numbers off of the box on the picture. The part rep told me none of the numbers were a valid part number and gave me a completely different number.
