new owner of '96 checking in
just picked up a '96 w/172K km (108K miles for you southern people)
never winter driven
it was my mechanic's dads car - very well cared for
all engine work just done (timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires, etc)
bought it because i want to do some road trips
i.e. out to Vancouver, turn left and all the way down the coast
also, out to ND (Custer's Last Stand) and down through the mountains (Yellowstone, Monument Valley etc - i'm a cowboy shooter interested in the old west)
mark

thanks
had a couple of rust bubbles fixed on 2 wheel wells and a small fender dent over the left headlight (they did a great job of matching the paint)
this is my 1st 'luxury' car (sold the 01 Rav4 to my daughter)
would have liked an SC, but the budget wouldn't allow 3 cars (need winter capability)
so far, just a dream to drive

BTW - our friends think we are nuts to buy a 13 year old car
