Default ls400 front caliper differences

hi all,
So I've searched and searched and haven't been able to find the answer im looking for, so here goes.

I'm in the process of buying a 94 LS400. The front left caliper is sticking. Now, I've read about SC/GS guys using LS calipers as an upgrade. The thing i cannot find any info on is what year did the LS come with the 4 piston calipers? I've seen that 93-94 got an upgrade from the 90-92. Are the 4 pistons on the 93+ or just the next generation, 95-00? If its the latter, will the 95-00 rotors/calipers bolt on to my 94 (hacking away the dust shield is a given)?

if so, i have some other questions about the master cylinder.

thank you!!

Others may want to chime in with more experience with this but I don't think your stock 16" wheels will clear the 4 piston calipers after the upgrade.

that is true... forgot about that one. i'm just wrong all over the place today. you need wheels with proper disk clearance or spacers and possibly diameter clearance.

thanks for the info!
when you say 2LS ball joints, do you mean the ball joint and knuckle from the 95-00 LS?

you don't need the knuckle, the 95-00 lower ball joints alone are all you'll need to replace. also, you'll have to trim the dust shield iirc.
