Blown A/C??
Ive searched the forums several times about this issue but no one seems to have the same problem as I do. I recently installed a new Indash DVD into my Lex and like a dummy I did not remove the battery cable Needless to say I got a small spark. No problem, changed the fuses, but the AC stopped working. Since then Ive checked all fuses in the kick panel and under the hood. Nothing is blown. The funny thing is, the clock still works and it still illuminates at night, but it doesnt blow air. Any leads??

Firstly....
Do you get any a/c codes? (refer to www.lexls.com - A/C Section)
Do you get any check engine light codes also?
If you feel you did short the system out somehow, you can take it to an A/C Repair shop for a simple diagnostic...
-Recheck all the fuses/Any burnt looking cables.
-Disconnect ground battery cable for 5 mins, then reconnect...any difference?

I did try to check the codes but they do not display. I have not went to an AC shop yet i just wanted to see if anyone had experienced this problem before and knew a fix. All fuses and cables look good, no crazy smells or anything. I also disconnected the NEg cbl for 5 minutes. I have not yet checked the engine light codes......where can i get a code reader from??

Well, do you get a check engine light?
If so, a 90-94 LS code check will have to be done by hand (so to speak)
try www.lexls.com
If yours a 95+, then you can try autozone/kragen for a free code check.

Ok. so I checked everything i possibly could myself. I even replaced the entire AC head unit. Still no luck. Lights still come on on the unit but the ac doesnt come on. Ive checked the relays and they all look good. Anymore Ideas?

Well, I suppose the next step is to take it to a professional repair shop...
If it lights up, but doesn't engage, maybe its...
a. seized compressor
b. bad blower motor (most likely to me, had this happen to several pre-owned toyota-manufactured cars)
c. blown/burnt wiring
I would pay a fee for the complete diagnosis to see whats exactly needed and not just going part-by-part trying to see what it is. So go get it checked!
Goodluck!
