Sounds like you have several issues going on with the car all at once.

1. As far as the key not turning the car over,,,, possible bad ignition selenoid
2. As far as the dying problem,,, possible MAF(Mass Air Flow) sensor issue.

This is where I would start to look first. I could very well be wrong, and I am sure some others will chime in with other possibles as well.

a sensor wire might have been damaged or disconnected when the hose popped off, check the wiring to the starter and the AFM. also, check the trunk hinge wiring harness....

Number 7 is the Mass Air Flow sensor.

if the car is not idling i would think its either a vacuum leak or fuel problem

honestly, from the sound of what you're asking i doubt you're qualified to work on your car, you need to have at last a basic sense of mechanics to try and fix the problems you have. find a local friend who knows what they're doing or bite the bullet and take it to a good local independent shop.

Well Im very smart and could do it if i had some help but I would take it to a shop if I had the money too..And yes it idlies good
