slight slipping
ok, I did lots of searching but couldnt quite find the answer. On my 96 LS, I get a slight slipping between 3-10 mphs at stop signs. Any speed above that the tranny works fine. Its not a heavy slip but its kind of annoying. I had a full transmission service with the lexus recommended trans fluid and changed the filter at about 126K. I have 133K now. If I take off, theres no slipping. Its when I get to a stop sign and dont stop to a complete stop. I'll slow down to about 5 mph and take off again, and then it will slightly slip. I'm trying to describe this the best I can. Any suggestions?

Do you have the history of all service records for this car? It's not always adviseable if you are not sure that a car has had regular trans fluid changes during the course of it's life and then go and change the fluid after higher mileage or when the fluid gets dirty. This can play havoc on a non maintained transmission. Older transmissions can build up varnish and impurities that actually help hold the clutches in place. Flushing out the dirt and now there can be issues. It's just a suggestion. I learned the hard way years ago, and will never change trans fluid on a car who's history I am not informed with.
