I got my wiring friday....So today i decided to tackle the task again.
every time you take the top of these motors apart, Expect something to break.
replaced the pigtail.already had new knock sensors.....about 10 hours of hard work.and im still getting codes 52 and 55...Car runs great and has great power..I cant feel or hear any pinging ..any ideas? maybe the wiring from the computer to the pigtail is bad?

Im going to leave it alone.but it bothers me

yes the tranny does shift harsh, specially from 1st to 2nd.......I have already replaced my number 2 solenoid and overdrive speed sensor...I flushed the tranny and added new fluid.
So this helped......but i am still getting a loud humming noise which i believe is coming from the tranny.....It gets louder if i press the brake pedal while in park....or turn the lights on.
and you can hear it really good when slowing down for a stop

Well, i got the knock sensor-problem resolved.
I replaced BOTH knock sensors and the wiring also.
I finally got the wretched check engine light off!
And it only cost me 200 bucks of labor at my local mechanic lol
So Thank goodness!

Anyway, I just have a question to vaughn or python....

With on ohmeter or something;
Did you check the wiring from the harness to the end of the pigtails?
Did you check the resistance/current received from the knock sensors?
Did you check the ECU?

I can only guess that if its not the sensors or primary wiring,
that the ECU is not getting the signal somewhere along the way.

Goodluck!

PS: My car shifts better now, I think it just needs a fluid change. 207K miles, so yea.
