Default Brake wear sensor.

I replaced my front pads but the BRAKE WEAR warning is still on.

I am asuming the sensor is worn out as well? I didnt see anything wrong with it, just it looks like it got shaved in at the tip of the end . Could that be it?

Lexus wants $105 for it. Any alternatives??

Found this!

Thanks

Haha, mine is on too. Of course, mine is from a friend breaking the rear sensor when changing my pads.

Plaza Lexus in St. Louis wants $78 + tax and labor.

if you don't really care about the sensor and just want the light gone (personally i keep an eye on my brakes and check them fairly often) you can just solder the wires together from the connector to kill the light.

I have been doing the same thing for years. Why does Lexus charge $100 for a piece of copper? WTF I don't even use solder, 14 guage wire is what I use and twist it together with electrical tape, light is gone.

hahah, if your sensor is only used and not broken you can actually solder in the tip a bit and it will function as a sensor again.

mine was broken >.<
