Default Breaking the yellow glass in the fog lights

What is involved in breaking the yellow glass in the fog lights for the first generation LS? Does it look better with white fogs? How hard/safe is the procedure? DANK YOU!

Just taking the metal sleeve surounding the yellow case out and sliding a nail thru and hammering it until it cracks.

Simple, but becareful with the broken glass please.

Here's a pic of my car...if I convert my fogs to so that they're white, would that be too much white or offensive to other drivers? I know cops used to get on the older generation Integra owner's case when they had their fogs turned on...because those older Integras have foglight placement next to the grille and headlights (so the cops thought they had high beams on) instead of near the bottom of the car.

Looks just right, I dont think cops will hassle a Lexus,by the way BHC can tell me what bulbs you are using for your headlights, foglights, and the parking lights on the sides on the top.

Cool...maybe i'll try breaking the yellow glass after spring break. For my headlights i'm using PIAA Xtreme White H4 LINK
For my parking lights Polarg Hyper White 168 LINK
My fogs are still stock, havent changed them yet... However if I do decide to crack the yellow glass I'll probably get the PIAA Xtreme White H3 LINK

BTW, Optauto.com has been the cheapest place I've found ANYWHERE for PIAA lights... most other places sell them for 20-30 bucks more...

heheh yay! i found some PIAA Xtreme White H3c's for the fogs!! i didnt want to settle for those koito whitebeams since they arent very white so these will match my headlights nicely i hope. Anyways for those interested, i got them at http://www.hitechimportlighting.com/piaa.htm

I'll post pics when i get them

Kickass! I already installed all those white lights you recommended and they look absolutely great. I have clear corners so they are just right allaround. I'll wait for you to take pics of the the H3c and then get it

lol retro! just outta curiosity, which lights did u replace? the exterior ones? or the interior ones? or both?! Anyways, i'm glad you like em, it gives the lex a fresher feel both inside and outside (after driving with the stock yellowish ones for 8 years).

I'm going up north for a week so I wont be able to install the fogs or take pictures till the 31st at the earliest. Hehe, the lights are shipping from Canada so it'll take about a week anyways. But i'll definitely post a pic as soon as i get back. Have a good spring break all!

Okay, just finished changing the fogs. I have to admit that although both the H4 for the headlights and the H3c are both PIAA Xtreme Whites, the H4s appear to be whiter. Nevertheless, they match pretty decent. Pictures, pictures here we go! Here's a front shot BEFORE fog change.
