Newbie here... needs assistance. Dashboard light...
I have an unidentifiable service light on my dashboard. The symbol is a car (top view, looking down on it), there are 3 little lines coming from each side of the back of the car.
Is this for exhaust system or rear lighting? My lights are fine, and just had an oil change, flushed engine, new filters (air included).
Any suggestions on the lights meaning? And any indication of what service is required and/or possibilities?
Thanks a bunch, I love my Lexus, but don't know much about engines, per se.

+1 on brake light bulb sensor. You may have another bulb that is out. Have someone step on the brakes, with all of your lights on, and check to make sure that everything lights up brighter. Also have them put the car into reverse to make sure backup lights come on. It could very well be a terminal inside one of the brake light bulbs which has gone bad. Brake bulbs have 2 terminals in them. 1 for nighttime markers lights, the other for brakes. If everything is lit with just the lights on, they should get brighter when you press the brake. Also another common overlooked area is the third brake light in the window, which has 2bulbs and not 1.
