LS400 or Q45?
#5
You need to be WAY more specific as far as year, miles and most importantly, service records. For years 1990-95, the q45 is faster and has a tighter suspension. The trouble with Q's are the engine is generally less forgiving of missed or delayed maintenence. My 96 Q with 65K just kicks butt over my 92 slightly modded SC400

LS400's are dime a dozen...who wants a car that lasts so long you still see them on the roads 18+ years after they were first made. Oh...I do...he-he-he.
But seriously, what years Q and what years LS? How much $$ you have towards this purchase? The Q value drops like a stone so if you tend to keep cars for extended periods, this isn't an issue.
For me, if I knew the 2002-2003 Q was ultra reliable like the 2-LS, I'd buy one regardless of the low value. Also factoring a good mechanic to keep it going. The trunk size is small just about equal to the 2-LS. Now the 3-LS...I'd take without even looking back (I'm not completely taken by the 3-LS but it is a refined car I'd not turn away if I was pressed. The 4-LS I like much more and we were by the Lexus dealer today to drool.)

98-00 LS all the way man! I have had mine for one month after moving up from a 91 that I had for almost two months. Even though they are both LS's the 99 is in another league. To me the only advantage the Q has over the LS is stuffing huge lipped wheels with just rolled fenders, but that's just an opinion.
