i have to completely fill up and do the test but
with my half tank, im at the quarter mark now and havent noticed anything much different from before... the miles seem to be close to before i changed the sensor

but like i said i have to do the full fill up then do the normal testing method
so im not gonna pass judgment yet

after I changed my coolant temp sensor, the car idles a lot higher from a cold start. when in neutral or park even after the engine is hot. it idles like the car is still cold.

BUT if i turn off the car and turn it back on, the idle goes to normal level and idles like the car is warm.
it seems like the sensor gives the initial cold start reading ALL the time.

I'm starting to wonder if its because I used a sensor from autozone the computer is getting a wrong reading and thinking the car is cold? I may have to buy one from lexus and see the difference

NOTE TO ALL, BUY THIS PART FROM LEXUS!!! not from autozone or strauss!!!

Ok bud, did you finally replace yours with a LEXUS/TOYOTA brand one? If you didn't, stop blasting the aftermarket one until you VERIFY that it is the culprit.

Me and a few others here are having good luck with the Autozone one...so far.

Did mine, didnt notice much of a difference from a half tank. I used an OEM sensor-and have the higher idle as well-but it drops down to normal on its own after 5 mins.

Using OEM or Autozone, jcrome? Apparently there is a long list of dis-satisfied customers.
